How would you like to avoid varicose veins and losing teeth? How would you like to avoid stretch marks and an aging body due to pregnancy? How would you like to give birth to a baby who is guaranteed to be healthier than you are?

1. Health and natural pregnancy philosophy leads to better decisions and more confidence.
Understand that you should not get weaker and weaker with each pregnancy, but healthier and healthier. You don’t need hemorrhoids and varicose veins, extra weight (beyond that of the baby and physiological accoutrements and a small reserve for breastfeeding) or to lose a tooth. Instead, your body will build up dense nutrition and reserves and will detoxify better than at any other time since you were a young child or infant.
I have been at this a long time and I am well aware that weird problems exist which we do not understand. I’m also aware that the world is insane, upside down and backwards. We use chemical manipulation to treat symptoms of nutritional and lifestyle problems. We make too many decisions out of fear. It’s literally never wise and nearly always incorrect to make any decision out of fear.
Never is it more important to use nature’s most powerful tools to protect your health and your baby’s.
It is as said in the Tale of Two Cities, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”
So it is. Never a better time to be alive! Still, where can you go to live a healthy life?
Answer: so much more is in your power than you think!
More variety of higher quality nutrition and live food is available than ever before. We have more information available to heal anything than ever before. One of my teachers used to say, “listen to yourself and never stop.”
There is a voice inside you that knows when you hear the truth. Don’t let anybody or anything turn you away from that voice. That voice tells you that nature has all the answers you need and that it is harmony with nature that is going to help us be healthy now and throughout life.
At no time can you get ahead of your health, to the extent possible, better than during pregnancy. Filter life through wisdom. Embrace only that which makes you stronger, happier and wiser, worthy, helpful and faithful. Believe nothing that paints you a victim, or which suggests the way of nature to be inferior.
We are part of nature, and as such we can create and invent with great benefit, but if we lose respect for nature, our inventions will turn against us. Moving in harmony with nature we get the results we are looking for. I will be your guide to using the power of nature to amazing results and to steer clear of common pitfalls.
A common pitfall is using prenatal vitamins. These are not wise and cause deep deficiencies because they do not contain the balance of nature and many nutrients are missing. Various diseases supposedly prevented by prenatal vitamins actually have a higher incidence among those who take them. Our replacement for them is recommended below.
2. Pregnancy is sacred. I boldly state that your choice to get pregnant is a sacred choice and it should be free from selfishness, angst, fear, manipulation or any other kind of ulterior motive. Let it bubble up from your soul and bequeath to that experience and the life that it begins, a pattern of rooting out self centeredness. This is a sacred, beautiful thing you are about to begin. It is called a family. It is guided by love, creativity, advancement, faith and confidence in God and each other.
A. Prepare by discussion and planning what you will be as parents. Plan to Teach by inspiration and instruction, not by harsh words or reactions.
B. Prepare to be leaders of your family. Children need parents.
C. Focus on faith, purpose, morals, virtue and goodness. Make the choice to believe in good things.
D. Plan to create and defend a healthy body and lifestyle. In the next 8 points I’ll explain how to be really healthy during pregnancy!
3. Fruit first, and such thinking. Eat a piece of ripe fruit 20-30 minutes before each meal. While logistically challenging for many people, it is effort that pays off very well.
It turns out that the digestive tract also needs to be nourished. By feeding it something that actually gives it strength and vitality to do its job, we gain the benefit of digestion that is manifold better, without distress, etc. the liver, stomach and pancreas are awake and ready to proceed.
Fruit digest itself. All the nutrients that are in there can be digested, even if you’re weak, fatigued, depleted, or whatever. Fruit has a surplus of enzymes which your body can use both for internal regulation and for digestion. The sugar in fruit is converted immediately to glucose, which is used in cells almost instantly and so results in a body that is nourished with plenty of ATP to carry out the digestive processes.
4. 100% whole food. This means everything you eat is directly from nature without being altered genetically, chemically or any other way that couldn’t be done in the typical kitchen.
This requires some learning. You might have to understand why olive oil could easily be made not just in a kitchen but out in the field. Then you might need to understand that soybean oil cannot be made with any amount of inconvenience in the typical kitchen. It is also generally genetically modified. Coconut oil can be easily made without a kitchen at all.
We might have to learn that organic sugar can be made easily without specialized equipment, but white sugar cannot be. We might have to learn that corn sweeteners are chemical isolates.
Of course, many things are just a chemical name on the label and are easy to recognize.
It is absolutely essential that you do not consume anything that you could not make in the typical kitchen. Food that has been chemically altered will, in one way or another, harm you or alter your balance in an abnormal and unhealthy way.
5. Eat 51 to 70% raw at least.
Raw fruits and vegetables contain literally millions of nutrients that are not even understood and that are not found in any vitamin or mineral supplement
In fact, vitamins, and other chemically, isolated nutrients, such as amino acids, enzymes, etc., will actually rob your body of other nutrients that are poorly understood, but which are required for your body to carry out biochemical activities.
It is absolutely essential to get a high percentage of your food, raw uncooked just as God and nature gave it. Additionally, the raw roughage/cellulose from the plants (most of which you cannot digest) is food for a healthy microbiome. In fact, it is the only way for a human to have a healthy microbiome. We are not supposed to have digested all of the cellulose from the plant food we eat. In fact, it is at least as important to your health to feed the micro biome as it is to feed yourself. The micro biome will feed you the nutrients from that cellulose and will reward you with amino acids vitamins, enzymes medicines, micro nutrients, and detoxification. You must feed your gut raw plant cellulose.
6. The two supplements that every pregnant woman should be on are these:
Dr Christopher’s original formulas brand Jurassic Green (1 tablespoon or encapsulated equivalent in or with fresh juice or smoothie).
Pregnancy Tea: equal parts of raspberry leaf, comfrey leaf and alfalfa
We may add to the pregnancy tea, an equal part of red clover blossom if there is danger or history of cancer.
We may add 1/2 part of peach bark or leaves if there is any history or risk of genetic illness.
The tea may be sweetened with honey.
This is what we use instead of a prenatal vitamin, which we are very much against.
Raspberry leaves condition the uterus, making it stronger and more toned, while making tissues more elastic.
Comfrey insures all amino acids and B vitamins are had in abundance and encourages repair and provides silica to make strong connective tissues.
Alfalfa tonifies digestion and the immune system and supplies trace minerals and peptides.
7. Put it all together
Breakfast:
Fruit first
Fruit last? Can you eat just fruit? Best if it’s berries and members of the rose family and ripe bananas.
If you truly have need of more nutrition at breakfast, we recommend steel cut oats or congee made of millet. Amaranth is also okay.
Millet congee is soaked overnight then put into a pot with 2x as much water as millet. Add chopped apples, fresh ginger, cardamom pods, cinnamon and fennel and such other spices as desired. Cook on low simmer until soft. Sweeten with honey and add ghee to taste.
Lunch:
A protein with a large robust salad. Twice weekly this can be animal flesh (careful to select quality or use wild meat or wild caught fish) and the rest of the week it can be green beans, organic tofu, black beans, lentils or various Lima bean family members.
The salad should be robust, not iceberg lettuce and spinach. Use carrots, cabbage, beets, turnips, onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, leaf lettuce (and other bitter greens), avocado, raw seeds (flax, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame) and then dress with ONLY whole ingredient dressings you made at home!!! Olive oil, sea salt, fresh ground black pepper, fresh garlic, dried herbs, fresh herbs, raw vinegar or balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, maple syrup, etc. nutritional yeast is fine.
Pick from these ingredients those that you like.
Supper:
A starch (potato, sweet potato, squash, summer squash) with a robust salad as noted for lunch.
Do not eat after supper. If a snack is needed, choose a right banana and almond butter.
8. Avoid:
Dairy (except butter, ghee and home made yogurt—home made ONLY from raw milk and it must be fermented a full 24 hours sufficient to make it very sour. Kefir is not acceptable )
All processed food
Processed meat
Chemical non foods (like soda pop)
White flour
White sugar and all chemically isolated sweeteners (no matter what the hype and advertising says!!!)
Caffeine
9. Provisional options
Eggs should be free range and FERTILE. They may be use INSTEAD of grain at breakfast or meat at lunch.
Sprouted or very strong actually fermented sourdough bread may be used instead of any protein at midday meal.
10. Provisional supplements
Dr Christopher’s entire cleansing routine is designed to be used during pregnancy.
Most pregnant women should use liver gallbladder formula with each meal and kidney formula 2-3 x daily.
If there is constipation (fewer than 2 bowel movements per day) then lower bowel formula and regular chiropractic should be used. Stronger formulas are available.
If bowels move less than one time every three days then we generally recommend an enema each week with Dr Christopher’s lower bowel formula or with ginger powder three times back to back as instructed elsewhere in this blog (look up ginger enemas)
Bowels must be moving well and diet in place to use Dr Christopher’s blood stream formula. Normally I don’t recommend this formula because it can create imbalances in the system for those not well prepared to take it.
Special problems beyond this require more education or help from a good clinician who knows their way around pregnancy.
